What is going on behind the scenes of your thoughts, emotions, and actions? If you understand the model of the mind you can get valuable insights into how to make positive changes in your life.


The model of the mind is based on the idea that we have a conscious mind and a subconscious mind. The conscious mind is the part of your mind that is aware of your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings at any given moment. It's the part of your mind that you use to think, reason, make decisions, and take action.


However, the subconscious mind is the part of our mind that operates below our level of conscious awareness. It is responsible for a wide range of automatic functions in the body, such as our breathing, our heart rate, and digestion. Our emotions, beliefs, and memories are all stored in the subconscious.


The conscious mind can only hold a limited amount of information at any given time, however, the subconscious mind has a much larger capacity to store and process information. The subconscious mind has a greater influence on our thoughts, feelings, habits & behaviors and often this is done without us even being consciously aware of it.


The subconscious mind is much more powerful than the conscious mind. It's estimated that the subconscious mind is responsible for about 90-95% of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while the conscious mind accounts for only about 5-10%.


So why is the subconscious mind so powerful?

It's because it operates on a different level of processing than the conscious mind. The conscious mind operates on a logical, rational, and analytical level, while the subconscious mind operates on an emotional, intuitive, and automatic level.


The subconscious mind is like a huge library of information that stores all your experiences, thoughts, and emotions from birth. It's also responsible for creating and maintaining your self-image, which is the mental picture you have of yourself and your abilities.


The critical factor is the part of your mind that acts as a filter between the conscious and subconscious minds. It's the gatekeeper that determines what information gets into the subconscious mind and what gets rejected.


The critical factor is influenced by your beliefs, values, and attitudes, as well as your past experiences and conditioning. It's also influenced by your state of mind, such as whether you're relaxed or stressed, focused or distracted.


When you're in a relaxed and receptive state, the critical factor is more flexible and allows more information to pass into the subconscious mind. This is why techniques such as hypnosis, meditation, and visualisation can be so effective in reprogramming the subconscious mind.


How to work with the subconscious mind to make a change in your negative emotions and overcome limiting beliefs.

By doing so, you can create a new reality that supports your aspirations and helps you achieve your desired outcomes.


That's why it's important to focus on positive thoughts, emotions, and beliefs, and avoid negative thoughts and emotions that can reinforce self-limiting beliefs. Therefore, if you desire to make positive changes in your life, you need to work with your subconscious mind to develop new positive beliefs and attitudes that will align with your goals and aspirations.
